Continuation of collaboration with the Educational Research Institute

We are pleased to once again collaborate with the Educational Research Institute (IBE) on the development of the Odznaka+ system.

At the beginning of 2021, we began working with IBE on developing the Odznaka+ system, as you can read about here.

What is Odznaka+

The Odznaka+ system is a web application that facilitates the issuance, incremental collection, storage, and sharing of digital badges in the Open Badges standard, as well as digitally secured certificates in PDF format. Through the application, users can digitally validate qualifications, individual learning outcomes, and their combinations, participation in events, and other achievements, which will be documented and defined by specific awarding criteria. The system is accessible to all users via the website, and for individual users, it will also be available as a mobile app.

The main functionalities of the System include:

Creating types of credentials in the form of badge classes, which contain necessary data for full identification of the achievement and specific criteria for certification,
Verifying the authenticity of issued digital badges and digital certificates by external recipients,
Visualizing skill development pathways by issuers, facilitating incremental collection of achievements towards obtaining qualifications,
Collecting achievements in the form of a virtual portfolio by individual users and sharing selected information with external recipients,
Creating unique portfolios of achievements by individual users using Open Badges digital badges, along with other textual and graphical elements,
Integrating with social media to facilitate sharing of achievements by individual users,
Creating virtual business cards for issuers and showcasing possible achievements that the issuer can certify.

Current collaboration

The current contract includes the modernization of the Odznaka+ system.

Selected modifications and new functionalities include:

Enabling administrators to manage languages available in the system, including adding translations for all labels, variable content, existing email templates, and menu elements,
Allowing issuers to create badge classes and assertions in a multilingual mode in compliance with Open Badges 2.0 specifications,
Enabling users to change the language of the website display,
Modifying the badge class graphic editor,
Updating and expanding the portfolio and portfolio template editors,
Enhancing the development path creator,
Expanding content management capabilities,
Enabling configuration of a “blog” type page,
Implementing login and registration via “Trusted Profile” (Profil Zaufany),
Allowing for the issuance of automatic digital badges,
Registration via a dedicated form.

The completion of the work is planned for the end of 2022.
