We are pleased to announce that our company has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Climate and Environment for the provision of maintenance and development services for the Publicly Available Data Register (PDWD) system, more widely known as Wykaz.
The Wykaz System – Ekoportal
The Wykaz system is a nationwide application designed for publishing information on documents related to environmental protection. It enables municipalities and institutions to easily share and search for documents such as permits, notifications, and applications. Thanks to this solution, citizens have transparent access to key environmental data.
Our cooperation
Under the signed agreement, we are responsible for:
System maintenance services, including:
- resolving failures and malfunctions,
- updating the operating system and related software (including the database),
- ensuring consistency between test and production environments,
- updating technical documentation.
Development services, including:
- adding new functionalities and modifying existing ones,
- optimization works to improve system performance,
- updating documentation in line with implemented changes.
The agreement also provides for ensuring data security and close cooperation with the Ministry’s teams, including work in test and development environments, as well as implementing changes in a way that minimizes service downtime.
Technologies used: Java 6, jboss, Oracle DB, JSF, Ant, RedHat.
End of the system’s operation
According to the announcement published on the Ekoportal, the Wykaz application operates only until the end of June 2025. As of July 1, 2025, it will no longer be possible to publish new information, and the system will switch to archive mode. Historical data will remain available for browsing and searching, but will no longer be updated.
What’s next?
The discontinuation of the central database means that the responsibility for publishing environmental data will now lie with individual offices, which will have to carry out this task independently – based on their own IT solutions.
Final collaboration
For our company, this was the last collaboration within the Wykaz system, as the database will cease to exist in its current form. We are proud that for over seven years we have contributed to maintaining such an important tool for public administration and citizens, supporting transparency of environmental information.
